According to another study, by 5th and 6th grade, youngest students are nearly twice as likely to be prescribed ADHD medication.

How We’re Feeling This Week: 😩🤣🥰
Everyday, I repeat the same questions to my child three times or more, at least two to three times per day (thinking more specifically about my daily morning ask: “put on your shoes”). Inevitably, I end up having to countdown from three so she knows I mean it. Sometimes, I’ll ask her to repeat what I just said — she usually can, so does that mean she’s ignoring me?? If I’m really tired, which is often the case, I’ll raise my voice / yell and then feel terrible about it, remembering that much of this is age-appropriate and developmental.
I still don’t have a great solution to all of this. BUT, the other day, after asking her the same question for the third time, I followed up with, “Why aren’t you answering me?” She smiled and replied: “I’m watching Sing 2 in my brain.”
Just documenting this here so I don’t forget their little hilarious comments, which helps to offset our everyday frustrations.
