Activity Spotlight: SELA (Su Escuela Language Academy) 🪇
SELA’s Summer Program is an 11-week, full-immersion Spanish experience (June–August) built around STEAM learning and weekly themes. This year, the program theme (“Eco Amigos”) focuses on nature and sustainability—kids learn through hands-on projects, sensory play, art + science exploration, and age-appropriate activities for infants/toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged kids. Older campers also get light coding exposure using Scratch, designed to be fun and accessible.
(And if you’re looking for a school-year option, SELA also offers after-school full-immersion language programs (including Spanish—and they note options in Mandarin as well), typically in small groups with a set weekly schedule (Mon/Tue/Thu, late afternoon) aimed at helping kids maintain and grow fluency.)
